Great news. Ebay drops seller charges!

We've had Laura, the same Evri driver for 10 years plus, she's brilliant. Last year another one appeared. He went AWOL for a couple of hours whilst out on delivery then I received a very neatly resealed empty box instead of a Chris King headset. It was all sorted with insurance moneywise but that didn't get me my nice blue headset. Funnily enough he's not been seen again since and we're back to the lovely Laura. :)

Most of the
"I know, I'll be a courier,
looks like easy money"
drivers wouldn't know what a headset is.

you were unlucky

Yes, unlucky. :(
It was apparently in one of those screw together plastic containers Hope use for headsets inside the box. Probably thought he'd got a nice watch or similar. Then thought 'WTF is that?' When actually opened. :)
Doesn't matter what was in the box, it still should have arrived safely and the speed and ease with not much questioning of the refund makes me think it's fairly commonplace.

I've had a few excess charges applied to my evri account for parcels oversize or overweight.

When I send them the evidence to show otherwise, I get no reply, but the charge vanishes.

I suspect an unscrupulous "contractor" in the chain gets an extra pound every time they check a box for oversize but deliver it anyway.

Ok folks. Ebay's done.

You have to use their fecking delivery service now.
Which also means that the contract is between courier and ebay, not you, so you have no say if courier loses it or returns it etc etc.

Just sold an item and ebay insist I post with their fecking service even though it was listed as my own courier "Other".

Whatever braindead ~*&! is running the show now, they need to commit ritual suicide with a blunt chainring

You don't 'have' to yet, it's not straightforward but you can just specify what you're using and input the tracking number.
It's carp, yes, but unfortunately still the best platform for selling used items to a wide audience.

Apparently you have to as of today, as I'm not getting any other options on item that has been bought already & listed weeks ago.

I just sold 2 items (that I listed for sale some days/weeks ago) on there today. I'll report back.

Listing over the weekend was all about simplified 'shipping,' although there was no prior notification of this. I just reverted back to what made sense to me.
