Great news. Ebay drops seller charges!

Just glanced at the emails but the buyers already had protection, so what's changed, other than eBay now charging the buyers instead of the sellers?

You won't get paid unless you can prove its delivered. Before you got paid straight away, and if there was a complaint from the buyer you then had to prove delivery.

I think RM48 is still viable, 95% of the time I get full tracking, on the off chance I don’t and a claim is filed for non delivery, I can claim back the loss from RM up to the value of £150.

I set up a new account almost 6 months ago and still don't get paid until I do that. I think that's another way for ebay to penny-pinch, guiding sellers towards the services they want you to use. Every item I list now automatically defaults to Evri. Collection is always applied too, which I don't want. I have to input my tracking numbers manually but having the postie turn up with the labels is currently working best for me.

Just got an email from eBay. It is of course still free to sell as a private seller, but, it is no longer free to buy. They've simply switched the feeling structure so the buyer pays what the seller did previously.

When does it start? Nothing showing on my searches yet
Edit: February 🤪

I bypass the eBay site post-sale because of this^ reason.

I copy the buyers address from the ‘your item sold’ email and paste it into RM

Copy the tracking number from RM and past it into eBay, print the label out at work and drop the parcel into the PO just up the road and get a receipt.
