I like singlespeeding a lot. So I've built a couple over the years.

I'll post in no particular order.

1989 Rockhopper, sold to a friend

unknown frame, developed a crack in the down tube, IIRC

91 MB-3 - stage 1

91 MB-3 - stage 5, developed a crack near the front cable stop in the top tube

91 MB-4, sold it right after the MB-3 broke.

later stage of the MB-4 together with a Talera, probably 89, I built for a friend

Belgian Diamant, no idea what year, sold it

93(?) Etto Pro Comp, used as a doublespeeder most of the time, actually. changed gears by heel.

2013 Genesis Fortitude, one of my favourite bikes, love every bit of it, bought it new, still got it, likely will never sell it.

91(?) Cadex CFM2, great riding bike, sold it, unfortunately

94 Karakoram Elite, better known as a Corrado, bought that one in original condition and ruined it, obviously Sold it to a friend.

(no idea what year) KHS Montana Team, rode good, but sold it at some point

(no idea what year) Wheeler 8800, rebuilt that as a 3x1 for a friend and sold it.

2007 Zaskar Team, fourth bike I ever owned, this was its last iteration, I think I gave that one away. Seat stay moved a whole lot while braking.

93 Litespeed Appalachian, used it as a singlespeed for a short while

95 Stumpjumper, still got that one hanging in the garage

2015 Production Privee Oka, XL frame, was too long for me, sold it.

98 Salsa Ala Carte, original owner had the dropouts changed right after he got the frame new. I've been the third owner, it's now back with the second owner. Met the first owner at a CX race some years ago, where I raced this bike and he recognized it.

2016 Production Privee Shan, great riding bike, but felt too sensible. Seat tube length was a huge problem, cutting it down helped, but not enough. Sold it.

(no idea what year) Superfly Styler Deluxe, 4X frame built as a pumptrack bike, still got that hanging in the garage

2020 Transition Spur, great bike, but has it's faults. Does what it's supposed to do, though. Will likely not be selling this as well.

2001 Brodie Kinetic, developed a soft spot for Brodie bikes, got that frame and fork for next to nothing from the original owner and ruined it, obviously. Still got that one hanging in the garage.

2016 Transition TransAM, mini-mullett, great bike for tight and twisty trails. Still got that one.

There is definitely one bike missing, but no idea where to find a photo of it.

Here's my current two....A pre production On One 456 with the hose and cable guides on the "wrong" side of the top tube.



and a '99 stumpy M2, the best climber I've ever ridden.

Thanks, the M2 frame was bought on here from double EF of this parish some years ago, my first Specy. I think I may have been missing out on something all of this time.

The On One frame has had quite a past. Initially my mate and his girlfriend (now wife) bought two for a three month unsupported tour of Bolivia towing BOB trailers. Later they started a MTB holiday company "Mountain Biking Spain", and these became their guiding bikes. Later still they were used as hire bikes. Still later the frame became the basis of a Rat Bike having the remaining paint blasted off. Nothing rusts here so it was sprayed each day with salt water until ready for clear coating. After a few rides it languished for some years unused when I was asked to take it to the dump on my way home. Not much better than shooting a dog in my opinion.
I built it up as a 26" BMX but it didn't gell with me so another SS it was to be. Since the picture was taken I have fitted a 29er fork and wheels. It just goes to show me how versatile and resilient these bikes can be. Oh, and it could make a decent tourer too.
