Re: Fair enough

Seriously Garry/Sinnerman, I don't understand why you believe there are ulterior motives in all of this. As it seems you are very interested, here are the details you ask for:
1. Decals bought in September together with a Kona t-shirt.
2. T-shirt sent back in September as size too big. All postage paid for. T-shirt delivered in appropriate size.
3. Decals verified in January (yes, my fault for not having looked at them in detail and peeling off the cover film on arrival).
4. Mail sent on 17/01 with 'thickness' issue via ebay
5. Mail received on 17/01 with 'sample' suggestion.
6. Mails sent back to Garry on 17/01, 02/02, 13/02, 22/02 via ebay. One other mail sent approx. 09/02 directly on GraphiShack web.
7. Forum post on the 22/02 and all hell breaks lose.
8. Reply from Garry on 22/02 with a refund for the decals
That's basically it. If your argument revolves around not having phoned directly, then fair enough. At this point I just want to point out that my boss lives and works 2000 miles away. If, let's say, he was trying to get hold of me and sent me 5 emails to which I hadn't replied, I would expect: 1st. a right bollocking from him.
2nd. my immediate response would not be 'well, you should have phoned', as you suggest. Blame culture, to be frank.
If you have sold something over the internet and you have a contact email address, you cannot blame the customer for using this means. If you're too busy, then either don't sell stuff over the internet or at least send a short email saying you are busy and that you'll get in touch when possible. It costs nothing and takes 10 seconds.
I did not want a refund for this, I wanted it sorted it as was suggested in the first place. So, please let me know where I need to send the decals back or if you want them at all. My number is +34913059781
Thats it, I honestly can't be bothered with all this, I really can't understand the situation. Way out of hand.
LOL...Well firstly i would like to thank you.
And yes my point as you correctly assumed, was ref "WHY" you couldnt phone the bloke, in the 3 month gap, from you buying them, to you emailing him....
And yes to be fair, it does boggle my mind, why you think it O.K, to take your time to post on a thread here with your complaint and yet "not" take the simple route and make a phone call, to the person you feel you have an issue with and resolve the situation with almost immediate effect.
I think that you have clearly demonstrated today, in your response, that "ACTUALLY" Garry at graphic shack is a man of his word, he did sort out your tee-shirt size issue straight away, and regardless of why you never recieved an email response straight away REf your decals, he has "once aware of it", resolved the issue for you, by either replacing decals or/and refunding your money, even after 5 months....
Now i dont know about you, and regardless of the mishaps between you, in my book that does show a good level of service, and a want to look after all customers, as any good business should.
I am very pleased you have got this sorted now, and do hope in future you dont leave your concerns over something you have bought for so long, before making a seller aware of your issues, especially when things are so easily resolved, and with nothing more than a little common sense, to do so.
And i would like to "Quote" another Signwriter/decal maker, that supplies the retro bike community here.....Gil_M.
( QUOTE)
I'm never going to be able to please everybody
Some days I will get between 15-20 enquiries plus PM's and trying to tie User names with real names can be a challenge at times
...I do try pretty hard though (QUOTE)
Now i am nothing more than a customer to both, Garry at Graphic shack and Gil_M, i have a massive level of respect for both of these fellas, for what they do and for the effort and time they put into replicating bicycle decals, as far as i am concerned this retro bike community does need these fellas, and of course mistakes will happen, but with a little communication and effort, both will stand by there work, and look after us.
I previously made a comment that no one is infalable, and errors occur from time to time, my pics below are an example of this......and with a little common sense on my part the issue was resolved.
