Goodbye to my friend

Just had to share this

Just got back to the UK last weekend, I have just returned from one of the most violent places on this planet, where life is cheap and the bullets are cheaper. After hugging the wife and daughter and celebrating my return I was devastated to learn that the family (my) dog was ill.

Just turned 14 years old at the end of May. My 'Cali' was the perfect Family dog. We lost her brother, Sunny, earlier this year, and although we all grieved, Cali was the one that pulled us through. They say that Heaven is filled with the voices of singing Angels. These voices can also be heard on Earth, for angels do walk amongst us, just listen to them bark

I am so thankful that I came home in time to say goodbye, and I thanked her for waiting for me to get back. Took her to the Vet on Thursday and she was diagnosed with terminal Nasal Cancer. A massive nose bleed on Sunday, yet still wanted the Sunday Dinner scraps and go for a walk. This morning she went in my arms and is now reunited with her brother waiting for us at the Bridge. No more pain for your youth has returned girl

I know dogs and cats are different but I lost my cat of 9 years recently and feel your pain.... .

Feel for you mate. The pain of losing loved dogs stops me getting another.

I'm so sorry, I know that anything I say isn't gonna make much difference to how you feel, but you & your family have my deepest sympathy!

I know how much it hurt when I lost my cat (Massey Ferguson - she purred like a tractor) & pet rat (Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen) a few years ago, it's painful!
