Same here my uncle (my nan's son) hates me and she says she can't tell him I stayed as he will go mad. I don't see my nan much cos I know he will get funny and she pampers him so I keep out the way. But I couldn't let her be on her own last night.

Just heard from my mum as nan round hers, and he had a heart attack again yesterday. And not coming out today or for a while if at all.

Poor nan as my granddad died of a heart attack when I was 6

See them as much as possible, I never had the pleasure of grandparents as both sets died when I was very young......

hope everything go,s well with him.i had it happen to me a few years ago my dad was in hospital with a stroke i was the only one to stay with him that night as the doctors said he might not make it till morning. what got me there is 6 kids 4 of use work 2 dont my sister couldnt stay as she had to get up in the morning to make her husband breakfast and he,s a fat lazy shite on the dole.

For everyone facing these issues at this, or any other time, of year...

Try to focus on what you can do, perhaps that is what others cannot do. More often it is what they simply won't do.

Try not to get embroiled in argument over it all. Better for our folks to get some grudging visits than miss out completely thanks to backs being up.

Let karma take care of those who don't care enough.

Well he did have a massive heart attack , and is still in hospital and staying there till they work out drugs to help him. Think he might not have long left but he was in high spirts as they are pumping him with drugs.

My nan was over the moon with my staying there and helping her , so that is the main thing.
