If anyone fancies a trip to Gisburn Forest, I ll be there from 16.30 at Cocklet Hill carpark setting off around 17.00, and will be there for two laps so you could arrive for lap two. Lap two 18.15 ish.

On a good note I only have to use crutches till Monday.

Get well soon mate, I ll be going up there a few evenings anyway over the next few months so there'll be other opportunities.

Gave the RTS a good shake down only did one lap as the rain came in as I was on the last burm taststic section. got a full lap boxed off in 1hr 15 mins, is this any good? anyone know how far a lap is from Cocklet Hill and back.

18KM for red loop.

Sorry I couldn't be there, as much I wanted to. As I was sitting on the second level of scaffolding, drilling into the wall, I was remembering the new crazy-fast singletrack just before the cottages, near the end. I'll find time again soon.

Those Blue chainrings need a new home!

Prob on full rigid Parkpre Pro 825, as this will be a Mayhem race bike.

Another visit to Gisburn complete

Now the stats:
Bike Parkpre Pro 825 1994

departed Cocklet Hill carpark at 16:55

Puncture at 17:38

back on bike at 17:47

Arrived Cocklet Hill carpark 18:13, for a quick drink and a choc bar


Lap two begins 18:18

2nd lap just before quarry section

Arrived back at Cocklet Hill after a great 2nd lap 19:37, a lot of people to reel in and overtake this time(10 plus), including a kind bunch who thought it necessary to deal with a mechanical accross the whole width of the trail.

big ring used 3 times per lap and granny ring used twice per lap (loose climb at end of quarry bit, and steep climb after root bit before wood)

bike was ace and a flying machine as always.
