GATESGATE! 2015 East Angular annual Gates ride Sat 18 July

Re:

When: Saturday 18th July PE28 4EZ

Where: PE28 4EZ

How far: 36 - 38 miles or so depending on this summer's weather

What: Flat with head winds and inclines and bumps, lots of bumps - and of course, gates. Some sort of suspension desirable but not essential unless you like sore wrists. A little bit of road work but once out on the main route not a lot. Some of Cambridgeshires finest countryside on offer with plenty of twisty fast singletrack. Helmet is a matter of personal choice. Plenty of cowpats to land in.

Mini bike jumble to be had if you want. Bacon sarnies on request.

Gates!

Villages!

Donuts!

Bikes!

Dogs!

Hair!

Marks!

Pubs!

We look to leave around 10.30 after A LOT OF FAFFING, quite often involving rebuilding a bike from scratch.

Re:

May have an old school buddy coming along. He is reasonably local and does quite a bit of road riding and has recently got an mtb. Haven't spoken to him since I left school at 17 - back when things were in black and white and everywhere was just fields.

and fixing numerous punctures which then need the tyre reinflating every mile for the whole ride.
