Also decided to play with the forks. The intention is to firm up the feel on compression.
I've got a length of this elastomer rod, from China, rather affordable and fabricated
my own elastomer. Simply cut to match length then sharp drilled to create the
socket for the attachment above. Nice and slow to clear the material out.
This polymer behaves in stubborn way, firm but soft when cut, jams the blade!
Anyhow a 4mm bit did the job, smear of grease, in she pops.
I am doing one side at a time, incase of failure etc...one side will keep it all stable.
I can only trial this and see how it behaves/survives.
No idea of the shore rating etc...just tinkering for now.
