Full rigid 90's Stumpjumper vs full rigid 90's Marin? Any other decent quality full rigid 90's brands that won't break the bank?

I was about to add Scott, glad you already did. I have several in the attic from both the Sports Series (a 1990 and a 1991 Boulder and a 1991 Windriver) as the Racing Series (1992 Team Racing, 1993 Pro Racing, 1995 Team Racing) and where I prefer the Sports as do-it-all bikes, I really like the Pro and Team Racing for the more technical offroad rides.

Nice collection of Scotts, I like a lot that pro raacing, it has the XTR 900 that mine doesn´t (It is a 970) Looks like back in the 92-93 ... I bought in mint condition or NOS but only frame and fork, so I have to buy the rest and the idea is to ride as it was suppose to be done back in the early 90´s.

TREK, Univega, Bontrager, Scott Racing series, Diamond Back Axis, pretty much everything made from Tange Ultimate Ultra/Superlight, Ritchey Logic/Prestige/WCS/ Nitanium, True Temper OX series, Reynolds 531 & up, Columbus high end suff, Dedacciai top series. Make sure the wall thickness is 0.9-0.6.-0.9. mm or 0,8.-0,5-0,.8. mm, double or triple butted tubes.

So much to choose from. Check obscure or unknown brands as well, as there are uncut gems to be had. I got a budget brand frame, made from Tange Ultimate Superlight: 1815 gr. for a 18.5" frame-top notch!

They just don't (can not) make them as they used to, goddamn it, due to safety and other regulations and let's face it, the manufacturing costs, the industrial background of making affordable fine steel frames mass-scale is changed forever, at least until the next Iron Age🥴.

Old fine steel is something else, make sure it fits you and will serve you well.
