Full Retro or Neo Retro Build

HI All,

I just landed a ParkPre Team 925 and is looking towards the build of the bike.

Part Bin:
I have some XT 3x8 parts with me, Missing shifters and Brakes
Also have an additional DI2 11 XT/XTR set complete, less the cassette.
Shimano DX red brakes/levers.
Avid Ultimate Shorty Cantilever brakes
Fork: I have a SID 2000 but I'm thinking to go for something more time-correct without the Disc tabs. maybe a Judy SL or a Marz.
Hubs, I have a set of XT Parallax hubs, these will work with either the 3x8 or the 11s. Finding 26" rims shouldn't be a problem.
Tires: I have some Maxxis 2.1 Sitting around.
Handlebar, Seatpost, Stem: These are most likely going to the all Black or all Silver(most likely)

Although the frame is Cantilever speced, I prefer to go the

I am thinking at how should I build the bike up??

Go full Retro and complete the XT 3x8 setup with the Avid Shorty
or
Go Neo-Retro with Di2 with the DX brakes.

Quick Update:

Got the XT shifters 8s,
Ordered the 26" Rims: Sun CR-18s
Ordered Ti Spokes for the wheelbuild.
Ordered the Smoke/Dart 2.1 combo as well.

Going to be XT Groupset with Shimano DX Red brake levers and V-brakes

Mag 21 with Ti hardware

Tange Seiki Gold headset

Titec Ti Stem, Titec Ti 118 handlebar, and Titec Alu Seatpost.
