This has been a fantastic bicycle since I bought the frame directly from Specialized and built it up, and I have looked after it, serviced it and upgraded it, but sadly current circumstances force me to sell.
I have made some upgrades to modernise the bike, but am happy to return it to v-brakes front and rear and swap the fork for the original rigid fork if you prefer.
Frame: 1996 Specialized Stumpjumper size large, M2 metal matrix, handmade in the USA. Cane Creek Aheadset.
Drivetrain: 3x9, with XT cranks, XT front and rear derailleurs and LX trigger shifters. New SRAM cassette and Shimano chain.
Fork: 2005 Marzocchi Marathon Race air-sprung fork with remote lock-out. I will include the shock pump adaptor and fork service manual. Or I can replace the suspension fork with an original, matching blue powder coat Specialized rigid fork (pictured)
Brakes: Shimano Deore special edition front disc, Shimano LX rear v-brake with Deore lever. Or I can replace the front disc brake with an identical LX v-brake and Deore lever.
Wheels: 2005 Cane Creek Terros disc wheels, compatible with both disc and rim brakes. Cane Creek front skewer and bolt-through rear skewer for added frame rigidity.
Tires: Specialised Adrenaline wire bead.
Seatpost: Easton EA50 with quick release seat clamp and dual bolt micro-adjustable head. Lightweight Orbea saddle.
Cockpit: Bontrager straight aluminium bar, Easton EA70 stem, lock-on grips.
