Stumpys stem

Hi,just wondering if you'll sell the stem separately? I'm currently building a 89 stumpjumper and need the correct stem for it.
Cheers Chris

Sorry chap, I plan to keep the stem with the frame...if anything it will come in useful if I cave in and build the thing myself..

You can still buy them (at a good price) from this link: http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/ST3TATTOLD/ ... o_old_stem

Re: FS: Project frames! Dawes Edge 653 and Stumpjumper conte

Hello,

Stumpjumper frame still available ?

If yes I may have some questions :)

- Would you ship to france ?
- What is the axle-crown length of the forks ?

And a few newbie questions  :
- I'd like to use this as part of a touring bike setup. Do you think the frame is suited to the job ? Looking more for comfort than nervosity in this frame.

I previously bought and mounted a Claud Butler Reynolds 653 Magnum (oversize tubes), and the ride does feel harsh :(

Regards,
Paul

Also, can't really find this info on the internet :

- Are the forks 1" or 1" 1/8 ?

Thanks for the message Paul, the frame ended up being sold on eBay a few weeks back, I'll update the thread now....

For reference you should find a old stumpjumper ideal for your needs in my opinion, for the money I would say that they are one of the best all round choices. All of them will have a 1" head tube until the later steel models :)
