FS - 1995 Marin Team Frame

Ferris

Dirt Disciple
17.5 inch frame, I purchased it of the original owner earlier in the year but need to clear some kit out to de-clutter.

I want £75 for the frame. It looks straight to me, and okay condition - see pictures where paint has come off and the original owner touched up. Any question ask.

Might be interested, just a few questions

Paint issues, any other frame issues, dings or dents?

How is the BB threading?

I think this frame is quite light for a chromoly - any chance you could throw it on the scales?

hi. im no expert but, do you know if this frame has had any seat tube issues?

i.e stuck post? leading to alteration.

i ask this as my team '95 has this type of fixing below. just wondered if there was any variant to the post fixing type through that year :?

thanks :)

BB thread looks very good.

You are right I forgot to mention that, it has had a different seat post clamp added the original owner did say it had an issue, but I am sure it wasnt a stuck seat post. Who knows... is it an issue?

I did mention the paint issues in my original add at the top of the page, no dents.

weight - 1893 grams = 4.17335062 pounds

and I am lowering the price to £50, I just want it to go to someone who wants it :)

any more questions shout.

That may well be a sound repair, but it is a repair, not just a paint issue. All steel Marins throughout the 90s had braze-on seat clamps. Most likely the clamp developed a crack and the owner had both clamps removed, the tube smoothed off and a slot cut into the tube to permit a removable clamp to be used.

It is a Tange Prestige frame, and that is quite light for what is effectively a size 19 the way most makes size their bikes (I'm assuming from the look of it that it measures 17.5" from bb to centre of top tube).
