Front facing seatpost clamps - eg on a Dogs B.

As I’ve mentioned elsewhere I’ve not got a front facing seat clamp on my frame to stop it from collecting a load of crap when I’m riding.

Most seem to ditch a q/r completely and go for a simple bolt with is fine, but wanted to know specifically on the Dogs Bollox, is it a bolt that is sunk into the clamp so nothing stands proud of the frame or does it just sit on top. I can’t find a pic close enough to tell and just thinking about clearance as you pedal.

My 1993 white spider has a sunk clamp bolt. The seat collar is threaded on one side and the bolt clamps to that.
Pretty sure DB is similar, but don’t know for sure.

Thanks, I hadn't realised the frame itself would be threaded - thought it would just be a sunk nut and bolt.

If anyone has any more info would be grateful

A quick image search on Dogs Bolx gives plenty of photos. Most took like they have the sunk bolt and threaded braze-on clamp sides.
