I was very thankful and somewhat relieved when the shim removal actually worked, and the existing grease was enough (just) to hold the small bearings and allow my reassembly.
Going to refit the Cassette, lockring etc. recheck, and as I work outside (of G/F's flat). I'll leave it till our next :roll: nice day, and then take my time giving it the Full Monty !
Think I'll have a shallow tea tray underneath though !
