And I generally aim for a 53 effective top tube measurement. As sizing the frame based on the seat tube length is one of the most stupid things about the cycling industry. The one dimension on a frame that is easiest to adjust and they size frames on that. FFS.

Thanks for all of this. I am 5 foot 7 and have a 30 inside leg. I think a 20 would suit me right from comments and a bit of googling.

If you want to use a vintage seat post as well, you'd better go an inch or so bigger, or your seat post will be too short.

This is a 62cm (C-T) frame, which equals .7 x my inseam and the seat post is pretty much maxed out.
