Frame repairs and paint - Overburys e stay

Apologies if this has been done before, but is there a list somewhere of trusted frame builders to repair steel frames and paint etc.

I've used Bob Jackson in the past but they seem to have gone.

Aware of Argos Racing.

I'm in Hertfordshire, so somewhere I could actually go and chat through would be amazing.

I'm going to Yorkshire next week so might try Ellis Briggs, but their online reviews are mixed

Is it just the small crack from the bottom of the clamp slot, or something more sinister?

The seat binder bolt is also shot, so new one of those, the small crack you mention to be repaired, then paint.

Think it's had some fun with 26.8 v 27 seatpost in its life.

Hopefully it will come out okay and I can build it up for the wife or kids, as likely to be too small for me.

Shame to lose the original racing team paint but must be better to get it out in the wild again

Arrived back this morning, so just over a month.

Just in time for a bank holiday build, maybe!
