Frame posting, shipping !

Got a few frames I need to sell and post soon so what companies are folks using to send them around the UK
Parcel Force, Evri etc

How are you packing them? I have a couple I need to move on. I was going to to bubble wrap the living shit out of them and put half a roll of tape on.

Kids bike boxes from my local and cut down to suit.

Cardboard etc to cover frame, bubble wrap etc to pad around. Ideally in a box with a brace between the dropouts.

You'll need to go on the Parcel Force website with the dimensions and weight of the package. From memory!.. I'd guesstimate roughly 4/5kg. Approx 100x60x20 - should give a rough idea, and you can choose insurance value.

I use parcel force now and never had an issue. I also recommend buying some pipe foam tubing, great for protecting the tubes. Also be sure to brace the rear dropouts, you can buy plastic braces or easily fashion something from wood dowling, if the worst happens and something heavy is dropped on top of the box the frame will remain rigid and there's no chance of any bending.

Pipe lagging is best, particularly if it's a valuable frame. Get it from builders merchants or Screwfix. Quite cheap
