Frame ID please

Thanks for all of your interest there is a frame number under the BB of JJ95013527 I've also attached a pic of the front mechanism and a frame fixing that I am not familiar with.

Sorry but it is nothing special. Cheap and cheerful catalog or supermarket bicycle. There is nothing on that frame that says anything else. The current components are likely to be original.

I would agree with LGF. Grab some component codes if you want it dating, but late 90 probably give the front mech style. 99/00 if you guess from the serial

Is there a variation in thickness of the seat tube? Or is it an illusion?

Yes the seattube steps down to a thinner tube where it changes colour
