i now have some shifters, though to add to the list i am looking for some new or barely used front cogs, basically a small enough amount of wear so that it won't matter if i put on a different chain

To add, they need to be 4 bolt 104pcd.

Hiya - I've got several front mechs which might be suitable for you ~ have a look at my recent posts

Quick update, i now have a new chain, cassette, front mech and shifters, just looking for some front cogs and DEORE derailier (equivalent or better)

I got two xt rear mechs. one in gwo order, quite a few scratches (£8 posted). second one, new style (£12 posted)
