Fork crown mounted canti brake rocker things

Work fine on the rear too. I used tektro one on my old rts-2 as it originally had some weird roller arrangement and cables joined with solderless nipples (factory solution, I bought the bike new). Fitting was pretty simple (it was many years ago so not quite fresh in the memory). Managed to get it to sit nicely and it improved braking efficiency and ease of pull no end.

You can get versions that bolt to both the frame and a brake booster to get a bit more power and reduce stay flex.

Only thing i'll say, carefully consider how it's attached to the fork crown/rear brake bridge.
I've seen (once) the front of a crown that had cracked where the rocker was bolted on, whoever had fitted it had used a too short bolt and only attached it through the front face of the crown, not bolted through.
4 or 5 years of repeated braking had fatigued the crown. (I've had bolted through ones that have been fitted since the mid 90's with no issues)
