First the chopper, then the cleaver!

Nice. Sycamore or beech? (top photo looks like beech, middle photo sycamore?)

Its Beech - this big bough came down through the power lines as I was actually watching!

Western Power had the cables strung back up within 2 hours👍
Although they strung them through all the fallen branches, making the tidy up job difficult🙄

Haven't seen a splitter like that before - does it work equally well on most timbers and smaller sections?

Do you also include the baler twine in the best tools ever? Gotta be up there!

Baler twine?
That's my safety kill switch - it's attached to the "engine stop" lever.🤠

I keep the baler twine next to the gaffer tape, because if one won't fix something, the other usually does👌

The (pto screw type) splitter works best on rounds up to 9" thick, any diameter at all, as it just pulls them in.

Knarly oak is fine, but sometimes needs a push.
Squishy cypress or half rotten is fine too, with a little push.

Split split split, builders bulk bag full in 20 minutes. 👍

Main problem is pieces that are only 6" across or less, they try to spin as the screw bites, you dont want your hand in there, it's a 35hp hammer.
