i've just refurbished a Brooks Narrow B15 - reportedly early 1950s from original owner - very similar condition to yours.
i added 2 coats [several days apart] of Mylands Traditional Wax, which I have used to treat custom walnut gun stocks from bare wood
it is '' Beeswax and Carnauba''......i added lots to the underside [with a toothbrush] and sparingly to topside..Warmed in the sun, it's looking good already -
then a thin layer of Brooks Proofide monthly for the next 6months should do the job
send me your address and i'll mail you a sample of Mylands Beeswax if you'd like to try it

Wow that looks fantastic. Thanks for the offer, what about postage costs.
Been beavering away cleaning and polishing and most things are coming up well, pics to follow. However the main problem is the pedals, i cant get to the inside edges, is there a product that i can dip them into that will do the job?

Time for an update. I had the chance to crack on with the bike and have made some good progress. Most of the rust is gone and its scrubbed up quite well on the whole. Started the rebuild.
The main problem is cleaning up the pedals, i can have a go at the outer side but getting to the insides is near impossible.

hmmm...pedals are a prob
the original Lyotard pedals were fine on my first Peugeot but totally rusted out on the second
i bought a modern quill equivalent - don't look out of place either
you REALLY lucked out with the handlebar cage ......£30-50 on eBay France
get a new alloy bottle off eBay UK
and i'll send you a cork - i bought 5.....!
