Fires in Oregon

So my wife and I had to evacuate do to a very large fire near our home. I could only take two bikes so I loaded up my Merlin and her Gary Fisher Mt. TAM. Very depressing hope we don't lose everything.

A lot of bad in the world right now, regardless of why or how its the common people that ultimately suffer. I hope you and your family are, and stay, safe, and while its not nice losing things, your and their safety is more important.

I hear you from (the smoke) in Lake Oswego. Praying that it will rain on Mon/Tue as forecasted. My Wife and daughter have been working outside of their jobs at our local horse barn. It usually holds 30 horses and is now caring for over a hundred. Also people living in the car park...a donkey...10 or 12 dogs...four have only three legs (apparently all different legs missing) and a pig.
Stay strong and carry on

Can't imagine what it must be like having to evacuate due to wild fires, but it must be horrific in many ways. Hope you stay safe and will eventually be reunited with all loved ones, including bikes.
Take care!

Thanks guy's for the encouraging comments. This was literally the scariest thing I have had to deal with. I was looking off our back deck at a mountain range about a mile away and the fire crested the ridgeline with flames about 100ft tall. Going into the barn and trying to decide which bikes to take was excruciating. The fire crews have been holding the line about 1/8 mile from the house. High winds expected tomorrow have me nervous.

Sunday morning and the smoke was so thick we could barely see across the street.
