Dirt Disciple
After a lot of searching for components I lusted after in the 90's I've managed to build a 1993 Orange Clockwork with those parts (now i can afford to buy them)
So, 1993 Orange Clockwork in grey, Stickers by Gil.
Re-furb'd Pace RC35's
Magura Hydrauic Brakes
Middleburn RS2 Chainset
Shimano Deore DX Hubs/Campag Rims
Hope Q/R's
NOS (I think Panaracer Tyres)
Shimano Deore DX Cassette
NOS Shimano Deore DX Mechs
Shimano DX/Deore Shifters and SPD Pedals
Chris King 1" Threadless Headset
Control Tech Stem
USE Handle Bars/Bar Ends
NOS USE Seatpost
Flight Ti Saddle.
Just need to get a wider BB axle now.
Coming from modern bikes, the biggest shock for me is the lack of travel, and the handle bar widths!
As a comparison, I have a modern FS bike with 150mm travel and 3" tyres- those forks have more sag than the Pace RC35's have total travel. and the handle bars are 800mm wide.. I also have another clockwork, but in black with a suntour groupset which I'll be builing up soon (and selling)
