Fife and Tayside rides thread

Re:

Well, since you've asked so nicely.........

Actually not been in Blairadam since the last MacRetro Friday night over 2 weeks ago.
Did you go in there on Sunday afternoon? Didn't see your post on Saturday till too late, we just had a wee bimble on Loch Leven trail. Needed to try out my Lefty after changing seals in air chamber and new seals in Fox rear shock too.

That's because I don't have a tool to take the damper cartridges out of Headshoks.
Been too much of a skinflint to buy one, tried to make one but it didnae work oot.
The castle tool I have only works with the Lefty Titanium 100DLR. Bought another older Lefty then found that it also requires a quite different castle tool to remove cartridge  . My one attempt at making one resulted in a **** up so I need a thicker walled tube the right diameter.

Also took apart the rear Rockshox SID Race shock on my lassie's bike as the -ve air chamber seals were leaking only to find the Rockshox seal kit I bought last year off ebay was the wrong one. Then won a rear SID Dual Air for £15 (including post!) thinking that the seals wouldn't be as leaky. Took it apart, the seals are virtually new :D but when I took the SID Race apart again to fit them found that the oil in damper had leaked out into air chamber, was OK when I took apart and rebuilt it a few days ago.
BAAAASTARD
Will be dismantling it to change seal, which I don't have as there are none left that I can find for sale  , although I do have o-ring kits in Imperial (stupid Americans) that may be OK. Will practice on the SID Dual Air first though.
There's the original Shockworks coil-shock on her bike at the mo.

Re: East Coast Rides Thread

Aye go on then, really enjoyed that Friday night, hopefully more of the same!

Re:

I was in there tonight for a wee trundle, lots of dry trails but still some moist (oooer missus) bits though. The new bit from the last Friday evening ride has seen a good bit more traffic and is almost dry. Maybe see ye on Sunday.

Re: East Coast Rides Thread

I could be up for that if someone can give me a lift from a nearby station. I can be a Dunfermline Queen Margaret by 1230 on Sunday. In fact Keith as I know where you live and your by said station can I show up at your door just after 1230 on Sunday begging a lift ?????
