Welcome Nick - you might want to look out for westcoast rides too - we have done Arran a couple of times, road and off, and the Galloway Trail centers fairly often. Would they be close enough for a day trip?

I guess i should have checked first but as assumption is the mother of all **** ups! WRONG Pitmedden

However i do use the 7 stanes from time to time taking groups over on day trips from Belfast -Cairnryan (usually Kirroughtree) Day trips are cheap as chips on the ferry so i may be tempted to go a little further

Are there any Retro rides in Aberdeenshire?

Not many but the numbers up there are growing so I expect there will be soon enough.

You do drive past the other pitmedden on the way up from the ferry, 5 miles off the A9/M90. I guess if you fly it is a long way off route though and diverting a plane is frowned upon nowadays

I will eventually organise a sidlaws ride but that has been 5 years coming now
