Fife and Tayside rides thread

Re:

Don't know anywhere that's no gonnae have us bawdeep in mud, especially efter the snaw melts.
Mibbees the trails at The Meedies might be a tad less effed. No been in there for ages, when it was dry, and that's going back a few months. Quite a lot of the trails are prepared tracks/paths but it's not a big place so a long ride will need repeating the trails in different directions. There's also the White Woods area there to play about on too.

Re:

aye was thinking something along those lines mate,

can have a good play around and extend it for a couple of hours riding at least - maybe even have a push up benarty if its a clear day?

1ish suit you ?

Re:

Right, was checking my bike earlier and found that the rear bush on shock is loose.
Thought I had a spare, cannae find it, and freezin ma baws aff rummaging in hut, will have a better look the morra morning. Let you know whit's happening.

Re:

Right, couldn't find the new bush kit I thought I had, all I could find was a new Eggbeaters rebuild kit.
What's actually happened is the centre sleeve of the bush was loose in the swing-arm allowing it to move relative to bolt. Thing is it's very tight in bush on shock so won't move in shock when suspension is compressed so the sleeve moves instead rubbing on the swing-arm. Think it's a heavy duty bush kit I fitted in the summer but it's frankly effing crap. Will go back to the top hat shaped type alloy sleeves on the standard bush kit as there is more to contact frame instead of the plain SS sleeve on the heavy duty kit.
So sorry to let you down Keith, was needing a run out on the bike too.

ok ladies, we have festive frolics on the 28th, I've also got a spare day on the 29th and possibly the morning of the 31st if anybody fancies a blast.

Hmmm, aye, 29th sounds reasonable to me. If any of you Fifers fancy some Fawkirk trails (we'll avoid the coo-shit this time) let me know. Could do the 31st.

Re:

Fawkirk sounds good ZZ, missed your last rideout there.
