Felt F95 Road Bike - Upgrades or Upgrade?

Plenty to loose on seatpost then. Stem seems pretty lean though. Carbon seatpost could loose 120g off the weights you've quoted, for little money. Make things a bit comfier too.

Good weight loss so far!

Thanks!

Any recommendations for seat posts (non silly money)?

Alloy seatposts are almost the same weight and are less fragile or picky about clamps. Even now there are few carbon posts as light as my Dura Ace 7400 /Easton at 180g. I'd start at a Thomson Elite, the 240mm post is around 220g.

However the biggest improvement can be to yourself. I've trained more this year and lost 5kgs...that's a seriously spendy weight saving for a bike. Weight off you usually comes with an improvement to the engine, so you gain twice!

don't buy upgrades, ride up grades ;)

Re:

I'm trying to keep my weight and slowly improving :)

I'm 6ft and I went from 90+ kg to 69kg, now stabilised at 70kg.

Cycling wise my average speed on my latest ride was 18mph (up from 15mph a few months ago) so getting there, hopefully wasn't all the weight saving that did it :)

Be nice to be able to get up to 20mph average on this bike.

Cheers for the seat post recommendation!

OK, if you are 6ft and 70kg then I take back all my remarks about weight loss as you have a BMI around 20 already!

Re:

Bloody hell I feel obese now, at 6'3 and around 78kg!
Rubino tyres are a good choice have a few sets myself. They still get cuts in them though, like the ones in your picture

I did a search on eBay for mine, just looking for a 27.2 carbon post. I ended up with a Kuota bike branded one. Logo would come off easy enough if I wanted. Nice light upgrade for £20 ish delivered.
