I'll offer a more constructive voice this time

I like the Slings. Both are good builds.

But I like the Stumpjumper and Clockwork more. And neither of them are bikes I'd ever want to own. The Clockwork is especially cavalier on this forum..

...But both builds show time and care. The owners had a plan and they stuck to it. For me, VRC bikes are less about keeping and more about the build and what memories it creates. Flipping through bikepro, etc, drooling over what chainring bolts would look the best with your ahead cap. While my interests have swayed somewhat since I entered 'the game,' my heart still lies with just simply making a bike stand out. And both owners took the time to take decent photos.

The Specialized will get the vote.

The NL Stumpjumper gets my vote.
Clean build, no black parts, good pic too

My first MTB was a 1990(ish) Stump,

'nough said,

It could just be my eyes, but there appears to be two bikes which mustn't get ridden very often given their lack of pedals in the photos...

Are bikes without pedals considered complete? ;)

I second the motion re: no pedals.
However it probably should be considered as nit-picking!
My vote goes to the pedals with toe clips.

That is indeed nit picking ;)

Both bikes without pedals appear to be used
