Hi everyone,

Have been thinking of making a build thread to document my first retro bike and essentially how I got into restoring and riding 90s MTB steeds for a while now. So for anyone who cares, here it goes...

I was on a quick winter holiday break and one evening while checking in with the Radavist to see what's new I saw this article:

After reading this article, I got so interested in knowing more about FAT CITY bikes that I was quickly sent down a rabbit hole checking all available online sources I could find. These included videos like this one:

and continued with reading posts in the fatcogs forum from welders who worked in the company. Then this interview by Chris chance really sold me on his frame design philosophy:

Thanks to this great forum I also read as many FAT CITY manuals as I could like the one from 92' that capture the company at the very top of their game I think:

The whole rabit whole story finished at about midnight. As I was about to put the phone away and head for the bed I had what I thought was one final idea...why don't I check what are the going prices of these bikes on eBay? Just to get an idea, you know...

Fast forward a couple of hours later and I had placed my order for a 91' Yo Eddy that happened to be available in Germany at the time that looked like this:
