Fat Chance Yo Eddy - 1990 MBUK Summer Special super bike tribute

Some updates on the Yo build.

I've still not been able to find some white Porqs, so these white Herbold edition tyres came up, so they go on, along with a Nuke Proof carbon bar to match the hubs and a Ringle stem.

Still looking for a nice black 1" quill stem, 0 degree, 130ishmm with a cable guide on it, then I think I'm done until the Porqupines turn up.

Full spec tomorrow when I've got a minute.

Top 10 at the Malvern's Classic show and shine, so a nice pink rosette to match the front end :)

The judges clearly like a good story about the bike more than the actual bike, because there were lots of gorgeous bikes on show, but pretty much all of the top 10 had a story.

Lots of great photos on PinkBike now.

So many great bikes and so good to chat to so many good people. See you next year!

Sometimes a good story is what makes the actual bike though.

If you get what I mean?

Doesn't take anything away from how great your Yo build is tho!

And glad it got itself some recognition!

oh I totally agree, the story is often super important. I'm more trying to make the point that there was loads of amazing bikes there, and mine only got into the top 10 because I did tell the story this year. If I'd just shown it as a "look at my cool bike" it wouldn't have made top 10 I'm sure.

What a stunning bike. Amazing. I had that copy of MBUK at the time. Memories!

Out of interest, how much did these cost new BITD? I guess 1.5 grand at least?
