Which retro manufacturers fall from grace has been the harshest? Syncros? Ringle? Bontrager? Klein?

Raleigh perhaps, close to us Brits successful well know team BiTD long established name and even over in the US they where heigh fliers for a while with Tomac. An MTB and Road race team, grifters, burners... Now ? Hardly even see a crap bike of theirs in the street.

Why GT? I'm genuinely interested, not flaming or anything, I've been out of the game for years.
I like my '03 one TBH. It does the job, spec'd ok and looks good.

I'd say Raleigh.

Catered for the whole market BITD, from cheap and cheerfull 'family and kids' bikes, to exotic high end stuff. Add to the a stunning racing team, and they were complete.
