Russia, ok they didn't lose a war but upon the break up of the soviet union have managed to control territory through economic and political measures. or hong kong perhaps? the chinese lost that well sort of.

Chavez economy is being ruined just because the americans don't like him and to be fair its easy to see why. The guy is on a major power trip, but i don't think that would happen in argentina his election was pretty much a violence free revolution. Whilst argentina is a democracy which is a lot more stable than venezuala

edit: the repsol thing, from what i understood they had debts totalling about 10 billion, not including the environmental damage that needed to be paid for to have it fixed. So the argentinians seized their assets, which seems fair...it's no worse than what the usa did to BP after their spill.

Course tell that to Venezuelan people, its all about US fault when the crime rates go up every day, the lack of democracy and press freedom, and lack of strategy, bogus foreign policy, I could continue on and on. On of the most amusing story's was the attempted deal with Portugal to buy laptops, never paid them, but used and abused of the photoshoots to promote the greatness of its great leadership on providing the best to their people.

All said and done its been this way since the dawn of time.Those nice clothes you wear,that nice bike you ride none of it would have been possible without conquest.Its India its Africa its most of the world that has paid for them.
