I have been trying to ID a frame that I got hold of recently. I was advertised as a Holdsworth and came with the later foil decals. As I can't palace it as a Holdsworth; I have pursued the Roy Thame option, but not 100% convinced. I am coming to the conclusion that it is an 80's or even 90's frame due to the recessed bolt boss for the rear brake and the lack of a brace for the rear stays behind the BB.
Another option is that it could be a Falcon and therefore a Falcon Holdsworth so explaining the decals. I have seen track Falcons but these are older and often have wrap over seat stays. My questions are did Falcon make track frames during their involvement with Holdsworth in the 80/90's and did they ever use windows in their lugs? I have seen some older Falcons with similar rear stay attachments although these have all been older.
Any thoughts? It has also been suggested that it is more of a typical urban bike messenger's bike with tightened road geometry
