Falcon cycles

Hi folks, I have just joined Retro Bike. I have been riding a Falcon Sprint for a good 16 years it was second hand when I bought it. It is black with pink and white logos. Any clues as to the possible year of manufacture? Cheers for now. Keith

Hi Keith, I have not been on here for sometime. I am a fan of Falcon Cycles having been a keen owner rider of them in the 80's. Falcon has changed hands over time and now just sell cheap imports using the old name. As such they do not hold any records which is a real shame for what was a remarkable British brand.

I believe your bike will be mid - late 90's as I remember them changing to this style of lettering and logo. I recall the sprint.

I live in Lincs and there used to be a few factory shops local to me.

It is great to see another of these old Falcons being cherished so great work. Would love to see some pics. Here is my linc for some of my Falcon bikes. I have built up a little collection of memorabilia to display alongside them. I will.post up pics soon.

Hi Mark, Thanks for the gen. Have taken a photo for you, but not sure how to put it up on here. I am a bit ropey on internet! My first cycle was a 24in frame Coventry Eagle. Tyres would not hold air but at 10 years old who cared... I was so proud of it, all ten bobs worth! Cheers for now. Keith
