Excited about pedals…..

[Splatter Paint]

I fitted DMR V12 magnesium in spiffing diamond black to my bike today. I did it in my lunch hour and had a quick spin after. The winter sunlight caught the sparkles in the paint in the pedals and the cherry red metallic paint on the frame. I was very happy!

Simple things, eh?

If you’ve not ridden V12 before, they’re bloody good. I haven’t used SPDs since buying my first set. The mag versions are a bit dearer but save ~100g ish.

Yes. Nice pedals. I've got a set on my Stumpy (not magnesium though) and they pair well with Adidas Five Tens. The V8 is good for its price-point too.

The only thing that bugs me about that series of pedals is that you can't get them with built-in reflectors so, strictly speaking, it's not legal to use them on UK roads between sundown and sun-up. I ended up getting a pair of Rockbros pedals for after dark: they were the best I could find with built-in reflectors, but they're not as comfy as the V12s.
