Exage and Deore LX comparison?

Hi all,

Is there any real difference performance wise between Exage and Deore LX Cantis (BR-M550)

Visually they look the same

Probably not.

If anything it will be the bearing surface if you're lucky or more likely just plain finish or material.
Or a better brake block.

The M454 does lookuch the same, same copper bearing bit etc.

Thanks, I have a case of upgrade-itis.

A perfectly functioning bike sitting there with Exage cantis and some boxed Deore tempting me from the parts bin

Grab some side by side pictures as you change them for no reason other then 550 is a higher number than 454
