There have been a couple of threads on this, and the achievement makes for great reading. I'm ashamed to say I was previously unaware of it, and the only Tommy Godwin I knew of was the 1948 Olympic medallist.

And this Tommy Godwin was presenting medals at the recent UCI world cup event at the new London Olympic velodrome. Now aged 91 and an absolute top bloke!

It's an odd coincidence that there were two highly successful Tommy Godwin cyclists at pretty much the same time albeit in very different disciplines,

This guy used to live in our village and was a customer.

Not as famous for his cycling now but more for his motorbike records.
