Just been watching docu about Pearl Jam and started thinking (yet again) about what were my top 10 albums ever.
So, in no particular order, here they are:

The Clash - London Calling
The Ramones - It's Alive
The Sex Pistols - Never Mind The Bollocks
Therapy - Troublegum
Pearl Jam - Ten
The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses
Happy Mondays - Pills 'n' Thrills and Bellyaches
Dead Kennedys - Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables
Spear of Destiny - One Eyed Jacks
The Cult -Love

Took ages to decide and there were so many others on the brink:

Captain Beefheart - Safe As Milk
Ian Dury and The Blockheads - New Boots and Panties
New Model Army - Vengeance
Red Hot Chili Peppers - By The Way
Joy Division - Substance

There's not a single album that I deem good enough to purchase all of it.
If I browse my music folder, there aren't many albums in there where I kept more than 3 songs.

With that in mind :

I was once asked on Facebook to come up with a band that had never had stuff I regarded as "filler" on an album. Only one I could come up with was Pulp.....


Couldn't do a top 10 at the drop of a hat but if I did without having to commit 100% it would likely as not be these, as they seem to be the ones I pull out of the collection and listen to all the way through most often. This might be due to listening to most of them on vinyl though.

White Stripes - De Stijl
Ramones - End of the Century
The House of Love - The House of Love (aka Fontana) (the same title on Creation also nearly made it)
The Raveonettes - In and Out of Control
Bowie - Ziggy Stardust (Hunky Dory could have been in here too)
Human League - Dare
Sigur Ros - Takk

but if you ask me again tomorrow it might be different,

Yes i love 60's stuff but plenty before and after.. leadbelly , big mama thornton....80's independant.......

What was the Pearl Jam Docu?

Can't remember what it was called, but 2 hours about their history with loads of live clips

A good LP, & still on my shelves, alongside ''Grapes Of Wrath' & 'World Service'
I personally prefer both of these to 'One Eyed Jacks', & might just swing towards 'G o W' as a first choice.

I think there's also some 'Theatre of Hate' nestling next to them? (possibly 'WestWorld' for one)

As for 'NMA', I've got some of Ed Alleyne Johnsons solo stuff - it's simply wonderful

Bowie - Ziggy Stardust (Hunky Dory could have been in here too)

'Ditto', but sadly not an original 1972 copy
It must be one of the few LPs that actually tells a story with each track, barring the obvious ones like 'War Of The Worlds'
(I think you could say the same about 'Diamond Dogs'?)
