Evens Cycles

I see Evens have cycle meets. But they cost from £5 up wards. Any body been on them? What rules? If i turned up with no crash hat (as normal) would they say no way?

Did one they organised around Woburn Sands, Apsley etc. just south of Milton Keynes. It was well organised with good sign posting and maps. Not sure on the crash hat front, I wear one anyway and I don't remember seeing anyone without one.

It is important, when on these rides, that you give any local cyclists passing you in the other direction the thousand yard stare treatment. Even if they say 'hello' in a bright and cheery manner you must look straight ahead and acknowledging their presence will register a DNF on the timing list.

After seeing my mate go under a transit van and the paramedics saying the helmet saved him (he broke all his face). I think not wearing one is a bad move.

Whilst I agree with you,I also believe we live in a free country and until its the law to wear a helmet it should be up to the individual to decide.
