Thanks everyone!
What a fantastic experience it has been. The weather played a huge part in my enormous enjoyment of the last two weeks of riding with only 3 days out of 14 being less than brilliant.
I saw and went to dozens of places I've never been on a bicycle. I took hundreds of photographs, many of which would win the "best I've ever taken" award, and I did it all on a bike I built myself carrying everything I needed for two weeks alone on the road.
Was it easy? No.
Was it really tough? No, but hauling 30kg of bike and gear up double digit inclines in 20+ degrees of heat did occasionally encourage swearing out loud at the Sustrans person that decided this potholed farm track was a better road for cycling than the flat, deserted road through the valley.
I would do it all again though.
The stats overall:
Horizontally 1088.9 miles / 1752.4 km
Vertically. 56,368 feet / 17,181 m
Time moving. 93 hours 13 minutes
Avg. speed 11.7 mph
Avg. Distance. 77.8 miles/ 125.2 km per day
Max speed 41.9 mph (only recorded that in last week)
Punctures. ZERO!!!
