Eddie Merckx Motorola Road Bike

Re:

Nobody seemed that bothered with the details at Eroica Britannia. There were people riding all sorts of post millenium stuff, carbon the lot.

I didn't see anyone checking or counting spokes. It all seemed pretty relaxed.

$5000 is maybe a bit expensive even if it is an ex team bike, but is is full Dura-ace. Not sure that the rims are team issue though?
But a rare bike none the less.

So I heard, Kinda puts me off, when you build a 1960's or 70's pro team bike, authentic in every detail, then somebody turns up on a 2014 bike running 11 speed :? Had the same with the MTB section, turned up to a meet once on a lovely 85/6 Ritchey Ultimate, to have to ride alongside folks on disc braked Cotic's and Giants  I believe on the continental L'eroica's they just won't let you start if it's post 87---end of so to speak!
