Ebay watchers

I always enjoy auctions where the seller vents their fury at watchers.

I also enjoy when they add the original cost into there advert too,you know, this frame cost £800 18 years ago.Almost to say it hasn't lost much value.

Yes, always good. Or when they state how much has been spent. Such as I've spend over £10K on this ratty Y reg corsa so my BIN price of £5K is a bargain.

I think a lot of watchers are either watching to see what it goes for, they may have something they are thinking of placing on ebay or are already selling. It also might be pople comparing item prices. My ever ready vintage light, I watched about 3 of them. I won mine for 99p and another one sold for £10 starting price after I won mine. The £10 one was a lot rusty where as mine was fairly clean. I watched the others just out of interest. One didnt sell.

I read once (a few years ago), it does not matter what extras are put on an item (ie a car), it does not alter the market value as everyones taste is different.
About 18 years ago, I swapped a car for a mk3 escort, The other person said it had a Golf GTI metalic gold paint job. It was also done up to look like a XR3i. It was only a 1.3L. The market value was for a 1.3l not an xr3i, so he moaned a bit when I would not cough up any cash to add to the swap.
People think adding things to something, makes it more valuable. It just makes it more expensive to buy as they want their money back. The items are second hand to the buyer.

"Upgrades include Race face bar RRP £80, Stem RRP £70" etc. Love those!
