Ebay Over Indulging Oh Shite!

Seeing as well over 95% of eBay is junk and not worth bidding on, I just can't be bothered to trawl through, so I just don't bid.

The stuff I bid on now seems very popular judging by the crazy amounts the final price ends up at, so not won anything for a while. Am I just being a tightwad or knowledgeable about the value of things.

An item is listed at 99p. I click 'watch'

If i bid on it i find it always finished with a 2nd bid on it to £1.20.
If i dont bid on it it will go for 99p

Happens every friggin time

Ebay can be hit and miss, but I still prefer the simple user interface when compared to sites like pinkbike and gumtree.

It's also still phenomanlly good for thinks like bathroom renovations. So far this week it's saved me a fortune. I made the mistake of agreeing with my wife that yes, the bathroom is a bit knackered, and yes we should refit it... A visit to The CP Hart sale at Waterloo left me with a bewildering array of options and brochures, and despite the January sale, a set of quotes that were eye wateringly pricey.

A search on eBay, and I bought 2 grands worth of high end taps, showers and other assorted bits and pieces for less than £600.
