Another thing I’m disliking about eBay currently is the fact buyers can make an offer , which I accept but the item doesn’t come off sale until they pay. It seems they don’t see it as they’ve purchased the item this way.

Yes it’s good the item is available for others to purchase but it seems to be giving buyers a free choice of whether they want to proceed “after” the offer is accepted.

Its also worth pointing out that from 16/10/2024 you will need to withdraw the funds manually rather than having a payout schedule.

I've been receiving these special offers on ebay items now for years. Add it to watch list, wait for seller offer the next day.

I hate Amazon with a passion too (as mentioned by other posters). So many people just buy from Amazon in their sleep.

Weird, whenever I've made an offer - it's asked for payment details and immediately taken payment if the seller agrees.

I hate Amazon with a passion too (as mentioned by other posters). So many people just buy from Amazon in their sleep.

But, and not standing up for 'big business' here in any way, Amazon have a slick and pain free returns process, and most of all, delivery that actually delivers everywhere in the UK for the same price (which is free if you've got Prime). Many sellers on the general market and on Ebay, including those who say 'free UK wide delivery' don't mean UK wide, they mean free in either England, or up the the Central belt of Scotland. Highlands? 'Bugger off, we don't deliver there', or 'we'll deliver but for a stupid price' are common place. For that alone I applaud Amazon. There's a reason they're popular and that is because they make life easy. We used to buy all electronics from John Lewis because their warranty was amazing and they would deliver to the north of Scotland quickly and cheaply. Their warranty has changed and they now use Yodel and Herpes to deliver which means expensive and unreliable. Since the change we've not bought anything from them.

I’ve never understood the hate towards Amazon personally (unless you are a seller on there). They have nailed the customer buying experience perfectly.
