Ebay Madness No. 2761

Hmmmmm...Not sure I'd be willing to pay that much for something that could have been created with an old Bandai game box, some heat shrink cellotape and a hair dryer. I'm not saying that this is the case with this item, but hard to believe the primary value is derived from this unbroken plastic wrap. The bidding history including non-registered users and the fact that someone with a 1 feedback score won this auction is also a little suspicious. Oh and the seller says that his box of video game gold will be appearing in subsequent auctions under a different eBay account. Hmmmm...

chances are someone will not be willing to buy such a high-profile collector's fame with their main ebay account. If you think paying over 12K for a yeti was a bit much, video game collectors are another breed, at least from what I've seen. If I was some guy with an attic full of 80's stuff I would be looking to sell also.

??? Bidder's identities are protected - you can't tell who they are unless you do some guessing based on their feedback score and try to match it up with the various blanked info i***i. Why would this guy advertise that he has a whole box of goods to stoke the fire, and then tell everyone he's going to be selling it in the future under another (unnamed) account? Doesn't make any sense to me.

Perhaps, this was his ebay account, but now he believes he's sitting on a gold mine, so he will open an ebay store with his new store/account name, and make a killing, like a good ole 49'er bitd :p

seriously, next to nothing raises my eyebrows anymore.
