Guys let's remember there are more than retro builds going on out there.....Classic/Vintage to the spec builds are great and if all you needed was this crank to complete a bike that was 95% done you'd have bid until the end too. I'm sure 95% of us have bought at least one spec part we needed and paid what many would think is too much for it.

excellent point...I know I have.

I was actually watching those and a fixer-upper set as they have a unique construction of aluminum and steel. Quite curious as to how they mated the 2 metals together.

But those prices were amazing.

That's quite impressive. All said, there is a lot of craftsmanship built into this design.
