Its pretty simple.

If I want something bad enough or I think the seller might not know what they have is valuable, the absolutely I'll BDBIN. Why wouldn't I? I'm all about getting rare stuff for myself or getting what I need cheap. Every last one of you are my competition in this and there's no way I'll feel bad about being quicker or smarter about it.

If the seller doesn't want to end the auction early, no hard feelings from me.

As an eBay seller, if someone wants something bad enough, by all means, throw me an offer. It better be large enough to make me consider pulling the auction. I tend to know what I'm selling and know what its worth. I may politely decline the BDBIN.

But...if its a big offer, I'll shut down that auction with out the slightest bit of remorse. Fcuk eBay, they make plenty of money. They gouge sellers with fees all over the place. I don't know about you guys, but I'm not rich, and if I'm selling its usually to fund the next bike project. Why would I not take as much money as I can for something and cut out eBay fees and time by selling direct?

Hustle hustle hustle.

I feel I have every right to defend myself against stupidity.

If you need a public thread to see if your moral compass is working something is obviously wrong with you and you should go to church on more than Sunday. :D

and judgining by the poll, I am right

And you have illustrated clearly why I do not post here very much anymore

I'm confused. You seem to be getting a little personal. I haven't attacked you so I can't see that you need to defend yourself against anything. I was was simply highlighting that I started this thread to guage what others do because I was curious. I'm not sure why you have so much of a problem with that??

I can only assume that you are drawn to controversy as you keep returning to this "pointless thread" to post negative comments. :(

The majority of the time my contacting of sellers is to ask about sending to my part of the world but on the odd occasion I'll make an offer for them to send something to me.

Some sellers also seem quite happy to reply with a BIN price too, some of which I've taken.

If an auction hasn't met reserve and doesn't look like it will I also have no issues asking.

Personally I don't have much of an issue with it. You win some you lose some at the end of the day its all part of the game
